Today was the highlight of our trip - White Water Rafting! We arrived early, kids wired and excited. We walked over to check out the water - heavy snows over the winter meant high and fast water. It also meant freezing cold water - 40f ( it freezes at 32f) We immediately headed over to the check in desk and requested wetsuits and jackets. After a short safety lecture myself, Abate and Fantu set off with our guide and one other couple in the boat. Alan and Caleb would go out an hour later on a much milder Family fun float.
The water was fast, and rough - the rapids were great. It was soooo cold! It was so much fun. It went so fast. A trip that was scheduled to be 3 hours was over in 2. Alan and Caleb's trip went fast too.
The kids are already talking about the "next time". Oh boy , I've created monsters!
