Today we drove from Taos New Mexico to Poncha Springs Colorado. Our final destination before heading back to texas. We have a cabin rented here for 3 nights so we can relax, spread out and have a place to unwind. The drive was quite varied today as we left Taos and headed back out into a high altitude desert. One of the best surprises of the drive was stopping at the Rio Grand Gorge Bridge. Amazing views, but it was a bit unnerving walking across the bridge. We drove northward for the next two hours leaving the desert behind and pressing into the Rocky Mountains. Snowcapped peaks eventually filled the horizon. the grew cooler once again.
A quiet evening relaxing before the big adventures that await tomorrow.
