Abate's Track Meet
Tuesday Snow
Winter still has us in it's firm hold. It has been a very cold winter here. We usually would be lucky to get one small snowfall a year, this year it has snowed 4 times with a good covering 2 of those times. The cold spell this week came with Abate's first track meet. It was cold and very windy but hadn't yet started to snow. Abate found it difficult to run in such strong wind. He was also coming down with a virus. But nothing seems to stop him - he came in 2nd in the 2400m and tied for 1st in the 1600m. Can't wait to see what he can do once the weather warms and he is feeling 100%. He spent his snowy day laying on the coach wrapped in blankets watching movies.
Alan started back with UPS McGregor this week. He is so happy to be back there, only problem this week is that he is battling a nasty cold. He did seem to be on the mend today.
Sorry for the quality of the pictures but they are off the videos I took this week. I need to charge the battery on the camera and start taking pictures again. Guess I've been a bit lazy lately. Winter doldrums.
