Christmas parties, food, shopping, weight gain, cooking, shopping, wrapping, hyper kids, school holidays, presents, friends, family, candy, cakes, turkey, ham, stress, laughter, sadness, joy, soccer practice, games, birthdays, New Years, toasts, did I say food? Soccer games, new clothes, new shoes, toys, music, Christmas Carols, and well – it could just go on and on.
I know Soccer practice and Soccer games are a bit unusual in this list , but Abate made the High School Varsity Soccer team – Starter, playing forward. Practice is everyday but Sundays and game days. The first games are on December 31st, a tournament – 3 games. By mid- January the season gets going with games every Tuesday and Friday evenings. These go through March. Abate is in heaven. He could live on the soccer pitch. He has been in the best mood in recent weeks. I would normally put it down to him trying to behave for Christmas, but this year – well it's all about Soccer.
Fantu is happy to see the holidays. Two weeks of sleeping late, watching disney channel, and hopefully getting new clothes and make-up. Her social calendar has been filling up lately as she seems to have a party invite every week. We have started to limit them as best we can, she was so worn out by Monday she was cranky, tired, and her grades have slipped at school. She unfortunatly is one of those girls that cares more about her social standing rather than her academic standing. But dang she can't help it – she's just so darn pretty.
