Abate and Fantu had Spring Break this past week. They were a bit disappointed that we didn't get to take a trip. We just have so much stuff happening in the next 6 weeks we just really couldn't get away. We did try to have fun though. We made it to the cinema to see Alice in Wonderland and they also went to the cinema with Boys and Girls club to see Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief. We made it to the park several times. On Thursday they came to work with me. We left early to go to lunch and shopping for new summer clothes for them. They love to play tetherball so we also bought a Tetherball set to put up in the backyard. They have so much fun playing it at Fantu's school and we have been making regular trips up there to let them play. We made a deal though that they had to mow the backyard. Abate and I did most of the mowing while Fantu kept Caleb entertained. Friday was a perfect Spring day, we really enjoyed our time out in the backyard. We got the pole for the tetherball set in concrete - but it needed 24 hours to dry before play, by the time the concrete was hard on Saturday we'd had a rain hard overnight and the temperatures had plummeted into the 30's - some first day of Spring! So Saturday was a movie day and Sunday doesn't look to be much better. Back to school tomorrow - and they are both ready to go. Fantu has really missed her friends and they both love their schools.
I enjoyed the past week as I wasn't up at 5:45 am to get Abate off to track practice. Those early mornings just kill me. I think there is only 2 weeks left - 3 meets til the season is over. He has a meet this Thursday in Lorena, then the following Monday in McGregor, and then the District meet on the 5th in Glen Rose.
The video is of the kids in the backyard on Friday. Caleb and Fantu were quite cozy in the treehouse. Abate was working hard on the lawn.
