I was just looking back over me last few posts and I realized I have been pretty lazy of late at not keeping this updated with all the happenings in our house. So I guess I really have some catching up to do.
I guess I need to start with the kitchen. I am still working on a few little things to really have it complete I can get away with saying it is as those things are all pretty minor. I’ll let the video say the rest.
Fantu began her summer by attending the UMHB State Choir Music Camp. They spent three very intensive days learning 8 pieces of music. She loved the camp and this autumn will be taking private voice lessons there weekly. Here is a video of the high schoolers that attended singing my favorite of the four they performed.
After our vacation she and Abate went to the Boys and Girls club teen music camp in Kerrville. Fantu never misses going to this one. She loves it. She gets to hone her songwriting skills and stage performances. She is totally in her element for the week.

This was her final performance for the week, her own composition.

Ocean City Md. Just a few of the highlights of our summer vacation.
So now August has arrived and the countdown to school has begun. Abate has early morning practices so my lazy summer days of sleeping in until 6:15 are over and I am now back to my 5:45 alarm. He’s out the door at 6 for XC practice, followed by football practice until 10 am and then again in the afternoon. Some days he is working in between them delivering furniture for a local Furniture store.
School starts on the 26th along with a crazy schedule of football games and XC meets for Abate and soccer and voice lessons for Fantu. I am not quite sure how I am going to juggle everything including a couple of birthdays and a weekend trip to Chicago all in September. It will be well into November before we will even begin to get a break.
So if you don’t hear from me you will know the reason why. I’ll be wearing my Hornet black and gold heading down the road.

I'm tired just reading about that autumn schedule! But it looks like a great summer.
