Update

Fantu's surgery went really well. With three minutes left on the clock the nurse came over and told me she had been taken to recovery and the doctor would be out shortly. He came out maybe fifteen minutes later and said everything went really well. Her minuscus did have some damage as it was the same as the left knee had been as it covered nearly all of the joint. He trimmed away all the excess and now she has a perfectly shaped miniscus. While he was there he checked her kneecaps, ACL and all the other parts of the knee and all was healthy. She slept several hours after the surgery was complete and we got home at about 7:45 pm.
She is doing so much better this time and I think her recovery will be much quicker. She is already able to flex her knee some and the pain doesn't seem as bad as it was before. I'm so glad we didn't wait for her knee to get worse. Fantu is really motivated to get up, moving and back in shape quickly. She's loving her soccer class and really wants to be back playing in a month. Realistically I think it will be six weeks. She's heading back to school on Tuesday and returns to the Doc on Friday.  Very proud of Fantu and how brave she has been through this,
