Summer has finally let go of it's grip here in Central Texas. We have had overnight lows in the 30's and even a few days the highs were in the 60's. 80's are still making their appearance but the 90's are becoming an occasional thing. We have also had a few drops of rain. Nothing that would be considered drought relief, but it is at least enough that the dogs get their feet muddy and track it into the house. Football season is also coming to a close. The last games are this week. Abate is scheduled to play at Robinson.... I hope the coaches don't play him though, I can't take the stress of worrying about him getting injured and missing the Regional and possibly State Cross Country meets. I'm seriously considering emailing the football coach and threatening him with castration if he plays Abate and he gets injured. But dang it I don't want to be "one of those parents". Or do I?
So XC, this Saturday in North Houston, If they do great they go on to State on Nov. 12th. If not the season is over.
It seems now that Halloween is over it is also time for the Christmas holiday season. First thing this morning (Nov. 1)the Christmas commercials started. Another Holiday season has kicked off.

Too bad we can't box up some of the rain here for you in exchange for some warmth and sunshine!! Hope everything goes well with the football and running and cheering.
