Weekend trip to DFW

I took Abate and Fantu up to the DFW Metroplex this weekend so we could meet Alan when he arrived in from his twice weekly runs to Orlando. We met up with my sister-in-law Sandy, nephew Joshua and his wife Barbie and their two foster children 5 month Brandon and 2 yr. old Brianna. We went to the Ft Worth Stockyards to get a bit of the old west experience. Then Fudrucker's Hamburgers for lunch. The afternoon was spent at Josh and Barbie's house with Abate, Fantu and Josh playing on the playstation for a couple of hours. We than checked into the hotel, went swimming then collected Alan when he got in to UPS. Dinner at a nearby Mexican Restaurant (yummy) then back to the hotel to unwind and get ready for bed.

Sunday we had a early breakfast and the kids had a quick swim. Then we went to Fiesta Foodmarket to stock up on red lentils and Indian curry sauces. Then we drove across town to Maru Ethiopian Market in Dallas to stock up on those all important Ethiopian food items, fresh injera, shiro flour and a Ethiopian Flag for the kids room - oh and a CD of one of their favorite Ethiopian singers which we listened to on the trip home. Enjoy the movie, it is just a few highlights of the day.
